Summer, We Welcome You!

This past Friday was the kids' last day of school.  They had an awards ceremony where the girls made the honor roll.  Katie was thrilled to get a Latin trophy for the 2nd year in a row.  Haley's special award was the Teacher's Helper award.  We are super proud of all of our children this year.  They all worked really hard and grew so much this year.

We are so very thankful for their school and their precious teachers and principals.  They have invested a lot of time in our children and we are so very blessed.  God knew who we needed this year to help us with our children.  We are also thankful to have had the opportunity to home school Kylie.  Really, it was the best decision for our middle daughter and she learned and grew greatly with the one-on-one instruction.  God is so good!

This past Wednesday Tim, Kylie and I attended a special awards breakfast in Haley's class.  It was a belated Mother's Day breakfast and Haley wrote a special card to me.  It was pretty special.

The first few days of summer we have had cookouts, swam in the pool, played outside on bikes or the trampoline, baked some home made bread with our new bread maker we bought with some of our anniversary money and hung out with friends.  We hope to have more of the same all summer.

As far as plans for the summer we will travel a bit, and we especially look forward to a (Tim's side of the family) reunion in July.  Katie-girl hopes to go to a Christian summer camp (we are still working on finances for that one).  The little two girlies will continue their riding lessons.  Most of our time will probably be spent outside at the beach or in the pool!

Anyway, I've posted a bunch of pictures.  Happy Summer, Everyone!!!

My Mother has long, brown, beautiful hair.  She is very funny.  And she tickles me and her hugs are squishy.
I love you mom, love Haley

  1. I am glad that you all are having a great start to your summer. It is great to hear that everyone did do well in school. I am glad that you were able to home school Kylie. It is hard for me to believe that I just finished up my 10th year of home-schooling my oldest son and my 5th year of home-schooling my youngest son. It is much work, but very rewarding. I pray that Andrew continues to do well and the Lord continues to give you all wisdom in dealing with him. May the Lord continue to bless your family.
